Payback is a dish best served cold. Just one day after a run-in with New York Mets reliever Jacob Rhame, Philadelphia Phillies slugger Rhys Hoskins went deep off him at Citi Field.
Following Tuesday’s game, Rhame said that he wasn’t throwing at Hoskins intentionally. Unfortunately for the Mets, Rhame seemed to awaken the Philadelphia offense anyway.
Hoskins’ home run came when the game was potentially out of reach, but his trot around the bases was a clear message. Hoskins took his sweet time while a smattering of boos rained down from the few fans left at the ballpark.
