Pete Alonso’s trade deadline rallying call for support from fans has been rewarded.
After their doubleheader win against the Miami Marlins on Monday night, Alonso was asked by SNY’s Steve Gelbs about his social media post. His simple response:
“LFGM.”
The crowd immediately exploded while fawning over the slugger who had just hit the game-winning home run in the nightcap.

“Our goal is to make history,” Alonso tweeted just before the July 31 trade deadline. “We strive everyday to be great and nothing less. We need you guys, the fans, more than ever for these last two months.
