CLEVELAND — Every now and again, you need a game like this, the kind of game that reminds you of what you can be when everything is clicking, when everything is working, when all your weapons are properly aimed and properly armed. They don’t come often. They rarely come when you need them.
The Mets, they needed one.
In the big picture, this 6-0 win over the Indians was merely one of 162, yes, and it earned them their first series victory of the season. Even with the Nationals channeling the April 2015 Mets, forgetting how to lose for the time being, there is never (apologies to Terry Collins) a must-have game in April.
