Yoenis Cespedes and Noah Syndergaard left the game with injuries and Stephen Strasburg ran his record to 12-0 as the Mets dropped a 3-1 decision to the Nationals on Friday night at Citi Field.

- Syndergaard allowed a two-run homer to Clint Robinson in the second and an RBI double to Murphy in the third. With two outs in the fifth and his velocity down noticeably, he was taken out of the game having allowed three runs on four hits and three walks with five strikeouts.
