Who is this guy striking everybody out? Maybe we should keep him.
The Mets pulled Noah Syndergaard off the trade market on Tuesday night, The Post’s Joel Sherman reported. It came less than 24 hours before Wednesday’s 4 p.m. deadline and around the time he was dominating the White Sox with 11 strikeouts in a 5-2 Mets win.
Speculation began mounting that a Syndergaard deal was unlikely once the Mets decided to start him at all, an unnecessary risk if a trade was close.
It is not guaranteed that Zack Wheeler will stay in Flushing, though.
