N.J. man forged Mets honcho Jeff Wilpon’s signature: cops

Mr. Met's identity wuz robbed!!

The owner of a Manhattan office equipment supply business has been arrested for various frauds — including forging Mets honcho Jeff Wilpon's signature on a document, authorities said.

Michael Conway allegedly defrauded investors who were financing his company, Choice Office Solutions, by inflating the terms of the lease agreements with clients.

Conway actually had a contract with the Mets, but last March he allegedly fabricated false papers containing the forged signatures of Wilpon and a team vice president, according to a complaint unsealed Wednesday in Brooklyn Federal Court.

The foolish fraudster — who has a corporate suite at Citi Field — even misspelled Wilpon's first name as "Jeffery" in the bogus document.
