It’s all done. Wilson Ramos is the New York Mets backstop (of course sprinkled in with the oft-injured Travis d’Arnaud). We know this due to the fact he and the Metropolitans have already agreed to a hot stove two-year, $19 million deal.
It meant Ramos coming in over Yasmani Grandal. What happened?
According to Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times, the Mets four-year, $60 million massive deal was turned down by the former Los Angeles Dodgers catcher.
“Yasmani Grandal, who turned down the Dodgers’ $17.9 million qualifying offer,” Castillo wrote.
