When in doubt, look to Wilmer. It’s been the call of the New York Mets walk-off signature over the last several seasons and on Saturday night with the Arizona Diamondbacks in town, it happened again.
With two on and no out in the bottom of the ninth with the Mets and D-Backs squared at four runs apiece, Wilmer Flores simply took care of business with a sac-fly that knocked in the winning run in the form of Brandon Nimmo.
It wasn't a magnificent home run but it works. Wilmer Flores' sac-fly gives Mets first second-straight victory in a long time.
