The New York Mets have now wrapped up the most recent decade of baseball. The last ten years relied heavily on the starting pitching staff with several notable players joining the major league roster from the farm system. It was the formula for success in the past. In the 2010s, it did lead to at least one World Series appearance.
We can debate the merits of how successful or disappointment the 2010s were for this ball club. One area I strongly believe they excelled was with the development of starting pitchers. Even today, some early decade arms are still contributing.
