After what seemed like such a long-winded search, the New York Mets have reportedly named their new manager.
Per Anthony DiComo of mlb.com, the Mets plan to hire Carlos Beltrán. He will replace Mickey Callaway, who New York parted ways with in early October.

The move comes as a shocker to many in the media. SNY’s Andy Martino previously reported that Beltrán’s candidacy was starting to slip over the past week.
