Tim Tebow’s baseball career sounded like a joke when Tebow first announced his intention to trade in his pads for batting gloves. It became even more laughable when the New York Mets signed the perceived sideshow.
That was two years ago and now Tim Tebow is one step away from the majors. Not many expected Tebow to make it to this point. Furthermore, general manager Brodie Van Wagenen expects Tebow to make Mickey Callaway’s roster if he’s hitting well in Syracuse.
“If Tim Tebow is the best offensive player in Triple-A at that point, he’s going to be in (manager Mickey Callaway’s) lineup,” Van Wagenen said on WFAN radio via Jesse Yomtov of USA Today.
