New York Mets SP Jacob deGrom exits Braves start with hyperextended elbow

Here we go again. Worse yet, here we go again with the most reliable individual, this time around.

New York Mets fans have suffered through starting pitcher injuries through the years. The likes of Matt Harvey, Noah Syndergaard and Steven Matz have all found themselves on the shelf. Now, it appears to be Jacob deGrom’s time for a scare.

After pitching four innings consisting of just 46 pitches, deGrom left his start against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday night at Citi Field for undisclosed reasons. The Mets are remaining tight-lipped on the situation, but as he was walking towards the dugout after the top half of the fourth, the frustration on his face was apparent.
