There is something brewing between the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies. After two Mets were hit on Monday, reliever Jacob Rhame sent a message by throwing above the head of Rhys Hoskins in the ninth inning of a blowout on Tuesday.
“I was just trying to work inside,” Rhame said via MetsmerizedOnline.com. That’s a go-to move for pitchers after sending a message with a high-and-tight pitch. In fact, Rhame came up-and-in on Hoskins twice.
“Oh, he just said they were trying to go inside, and I laughed,” Hoskins told reporters.
