On Monday, the New York Mets placed righty Zack Wheeler on the 10-day injured list. Wheeler was found to have some fatigue in his shoulder. It shouldn’t be too serious, as Tim Healey of Newsday reports that there’s no structural damage to Wheeler’s shoulder.
Wheeler spoke to the media Tuesday ahead of the Mets’ game against the Minnesota Twins. Wheeler confirmed reports and didn’t seem too concerned with what he was feeling. He mentioned that the injury “doesn’t scare” him.
