New York Mets fans, rejoice. Thor is approaching his return to the mound at Citi Field.
On Tuesday, right-handed pitcher Noah Syndergaard pitched in a rehab start for the Class A Brooklyn Cyclones of the NY-Penn League. Syndergaard has been nursing a low-grade hamstring strain. He’s been on the IL since June 16 after suffering the injury in a game against the Saint Louis Cardinals the day before.
For the Cyclones, Syndergaard threw 67 pitches over five innings. He allowed three runs on five hits with no walks and nine strikeouts.
