Not the greatest news for the New York Mets as they begin their 11-game road trip on Monday.
According to Mets manager Mickey Callaway, starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard has been diagnosed with a “low-grade hamstring” strain. Syndergaard exited during the seventh inning of Saturday’s game against the Saint Louis Cardinals after experiencing some pain in the back of his leg.
The Mets are officially calling this a "low-grade hamstring" strain for Noah Syndergaard, per Mickey Callaway.
Callaway is not saying whom he expects to take Syndergaard's place, though he named Wilmer Font as a "very intriguing" option.
