On Sunday, the New York Mets made the first of their big moves prior to Wednesday’s trade deadline. They ultimately sent prospects Anthony Kay and Simeon Woods-Richardson to the Toronto Blue Jays. In return, the Mets received All-Star right-hander Marcus Stroman.
The Mets, who already have 2018 Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom on the rotation, just improved their pitching staff even more. And Stroman’s high school coach truly believes it, saying Stroman will fit right in with New York.
“He’s a great pitcher,” coach Anthony Frascogna told Jared Schwartz of the New York Post.
