In 2018, the New York Mets Opening Day lineup included four infielders who weren’t there at the previous season’s first game. They included Adrian Gonzalez at first base, Asdrubal Cabrera at second base, Amed Rosario at shortstop, and Todd Frazier at third base.
Three of them had never even been on the Mets Opening Day roster before this season, and the one that had been is rangeless in Philadelphia.
Remember when the Mets could pencil in two guys on the left side of the infield and not have to think about it?
