As the New York Mets have been unable to hold any kind of lead in recent games and the bullpen is exhausted. The organization has called up Tim Peterson from Triple-A Las Vegas to help stop the bleeding according to reports from Ken Davidoff of the New York Post.
The right-hander will be available for Wednesday nights game in Atlanta.
Peterson, a 20th-round pick in the 2012 draft, has put up a 3.58 ERA in 22 games totaling 27 1/3 innings for Triple-A Las Vegas. He has struck out 40 and walked eight.
