Although his return was always questionable, at best, Yoenis Cespedes’ 2019 season appears to be over before it started. The New York Mets announced on Monday that Cespedes had fractured his ankle on his ranch according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.
The team didn’t offer up much more information on the injury, but it’s safe to assume that this will end any chance of seeing Cespedes return this season.
