The New York Mets will get one of their most important bats back for Sunday’s rubber game vs. the Tigers.
Michael Conforto will start in right field and bat third. He was activated from the 7-day concussion IL on Sunday morning and will occupy his usual spot in the lineup.
Conforto sustained the injury in a collision with 2B Robinson Cano in the May 16 loss to the Washington Nationals. He will look to pick up right where he left off as he was 7-15 with three home runs in his last five games before landing on the IL.
