New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo had a scare in the first inning against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday. After tracking a home run ball, he left the game with neck tightness.
According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, Nimmo woke up with a stiff neck which only got worse during the game.
“When I took that first swing, I felt my neck lock up,” Nimmo told Puma. “It was just to the left side at that point, and so I just battled the rest of the at-bat and then when I got on first base and got into my lead, I almost couldn’t hold my head up.
