New York Mets news: Colorado Rockies sign Daniel Murphy (Report)

Daniel Murphy spent most of his career in the NL East, whether it be helping the New York Mets or killing them. Now, he’s off to take his talents to Colorado.

Anthony Barstow of The New York Post reported Murphy inked a two-year, $24 million deal to play for the Colorado Rockies on Thursday evening.

The 33-year-old split time between the Washington Nationals and the Chicago Cubs last season, murdering the Mets in the process. However, he made a name for himself during his seven seasons with the Mets.
