New York Mets starter Matt Harvey was in line to start today against the Miami Marlins, but was instead sent home and put on a three-day suspension, without pay, for violating club rules.

There has been no indication from either manager Terry Collins or general manager Sandy Alderson on why the popular Harvey was suspended, with Collins saying, “We’ll keep it in-house, the way it’s supposed to be.
