The New York Mets put Jose Reyes on the 10-day disabled list before Thursday’s game against the New York Yankees due to a left oblique strain.
We’ve selected the contracts of Matt Reynolds and Gavin Cecchini. We’ve optioned Kevin McGowan and placed José Reyes on the 10-Day DL. #Mets

Reyes was scratched from Wednesday’s game against the Yankees due to the injury. The infielder doesn’t think that the injury is serious.
“It’s better to take a few days (off) than miss the rest of the season,” he told Ari Gilberg, Kristie Ackert and Justin Tasch of the New York Daily News.
