New York Mets: Joey Cora emerges as candidate for bench coach (Report)

There are numerous coaching positions the New York Mets are now looking to fill after finding a new manager. The organization hired Carlos Beltrán to take over the duties as their skipper in late October.

One of these vacant coaching positions happens to be the team’s bench coach.

Many individuals have been reported to be candidates for the job. And as of Monday, you can add one more to the list.

Per Jon Heyman of MLB Network, Joey Cora has emerged as a “strong candidate” for the Mets. Cora apparently has ties to Beltrán as well as Omar Minaya.
