The New York Mets received a small scare Saturday after Noah Syndergaard’s night finished. He was drilled in the ribs with a line drive off the bat of Cesar Hernandez. Syndergaard exited the game, but felt fine after the game and joked he was more worried about the baseball. His X-Rays came back negative and he should be on track to make his next scheduled start.
Dominic Smith also left Saturday’s game early with a groin injury. He left the game after grounding into a fielder’s choice which may have cause stress to his left groin. He is currently day-to-day but the Mets should know more about his status later today.
