New York Mets baseball began in 1962 with the worst team record-wise in MLB history. The roster didn’t stay together for long. By the end of the decade, they had become World Series Champions.
Over the years, they’ve employed a few guys with some amazing power but unfortunately, nobody stuck around long enough to ever reach 300 home runs in his Mets career. Reviewing the current roster, it may not happen anytime soon either.
The Mets have had a few, for lack of a better word, underwhelming home run leaders per decade. Beginning with the 1960s and working up to the present day, these are the men who hit the most four-base hits for this ball club.
