It’s not even March yet and already the New York Mets have been bitten by the injury bug.
Yoenis Cespedes and Jacob deGrom were added to the Mets injury report on Tuesday. Cespedes has had a sore right shoulder for the last two weeks and deGrom has been suffering from lower back stiffness, according to Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News. Cespedes wasn’t in the lineup for Tuesday’s game and is “day-to-day”, but he expects to be back in games on Friday.
“Since Day One,” the Mets slugger said.
