In an otherwise dismal 2018 season, the New York Mets farm system has looked superb. In 2017, the organization had zero players in the top 100 prospect list.
One year later, the team has four players in that list – Andres Gimenez (#60), Peter Alonso (#65), Jarred Kelenic (#69), and Justin Dunn (#100).
In addition to these four players on the list, players like Anthony Kay, David Peterson, and Ronny Mauricio have all taken a huge step forward in 2018.
With the trade deadline approaching and the team in position to sell, the farm system could get even more impressive with returns from trades.
