The New York Mets are starting to slide into the abyss of the National League East. After starting off the season with nine wins in their first 13 games, the Metropolitans have faltered in a big way. They now sit with a disappointing 16-19 record and have dropped nine of their last 12 games.
Perhaps general manager Brodie Van Wagenen will need to look to the free agent market for reinforcements. Former Cy Young winner Dallas Keuchel might be the perfect fit. In fact, the lefty ace has turned down multiple offers and still remains an option for New York.
