On Monday, the New York Mets placed right-handed pitcher Zack Wheeler on the 10-day injured list. Wheeler is dealing with shoulder fatigue, and the earliest he can pitch again is on July 22.
Tim Healey of Newsday reported that luckily there’s no structural damage in Wheeler’s shoulder.
Because of this news, the Mets have recalled right-hander Jacob Rhame from Triple-A Syracuse.
