This week, reports came out that New York Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard had a private conversation with general manager Brodie Van Wagenen. Thor reportedly prefers to pitch when Tomas Nido or René Rivera is on the plate. He apparently doesn’t like pitching to catcher Wilson Ramos, discussing this with Van Wagenen.
Syndergaard disputed that the conversation was any sort of “livid,” and that the overall issue had to do with him and his comfort level, not Ramos. Now, it’s being reported that Ramos will catch when Syndergaard takes the mound against the Dodgers this Friday.
