Wilson Ramos is entering his second year as a New York Met after impressing the front office in his first. The veteran catcher finished the 2019 campaign with 14 home runs, 73 RBIs, and a slash line of .288/.351/.416 through 141 games. However, there is room to improve his defense. He committed seven errors and, towards the end of the year, reports surfaced that Noah Syndergaard preferred to pitch to other catchers.
The fielding issues have led to criticism towards Ramos, but he isn’t letting it bother him. Ultimately, the 32-year-old is just focusing on improving ahead of next season.
