Ultimately, a decision will be made soon enough, and it could happen as early as this current week. General manager Brodie Van Wagenen and Callaway will reportedly meet on Thursday ahead of the eventual outcome.
Joel Sherman of the New York Post writes, “Brodie Van Wagenen was scheduled to talk to Mickey Callaway on Thursday, with the plan to resolve the Mets managing situation no later than Friday, sources told The Post.
