The New York Mets continue to be plagued by injuries. Matt Harvey and Neil Walker will be out for several weeks the team announced on Thursday.
Harvey was diagnosed with a stress injury to the scapula in his throwing shoulder. He allowed four runs in four innings in Wednesday’s game and complained of a tired arm after the game. Walker has a partially torn left hamstring. The second baseman, who has been put on the 10-day disabled list, received a platelet-rich plasma injection after leaving Wednesday’s game early and will start rehab immediately, according to Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News.
