Since 1962, the New York Mets have had a chance to employ some of baseball’s best. While we know they didn’t exactly have any elite players in their early years, they eventually began to draft well, make smart trades and ink free agents to favorable deals.
Through more than half a century, the Mets have put several players in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Even those who didn’t quite make it into Cooperstown had an impact on the game and franchise. Exciting rookies, Cy Young Award winners and a few MVP candidates have worn the orange and blue.
