New York Mets 2B Robinson Cano’s MRI comes back negative (Report)

New York Mets fans can let out a collective sigh of relief on Monday. Second baseman Robinson Cano’s MRI on his left hand came back negative. The veteran slugger was hit by pitch on Sunday and had to leave the game.

“Baseball is a game,” Cano said to John Healy of SNY. “The good thing is that I’m good. No fracture. … I’ve been getting hit every week. I gotta figure something out before something major happens.”

Although the Mets are monitoring Cano closely, he doesn’t think the injury will keep him out for very long.
