Early in August, New York Mets second baseman Robinson Canó came up limping after rounding first base in a game against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. The Mets placed Canó on the injured list, as MRI tests showed the veteran infielder had torn his left hamstring. Canó didn’t require surgery, which was a big question in all of this.
Canó recently was assigned to play some rehab games with Class-A Brooklyn. On Saturday, the second baseman revealed how he’s progressing towards a return to the Mets.
