On Sunday, in a 13-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Mets second baseman Robinson Canó appeared to have suffered a hamstring injury. He limped off the field, having sustained it after rounding first base on a play where he was eventually tagged out. Canó couldn’t even make it back to the bag.
One day after Canó’s setback, the Mets decided to place the veteran infielder on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.
Robinson Canó has been placed on the 10-Day IL (left hamstring strain) and Luis Guillorme has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse.
