The season is nearly ending for the New York Mets, but that’s not stopping Pete Alonso from his all-around class-act tendencies.
Earlier this month, Alonso took it upon himself to customize and order 9/11-based cleats for the team. This caught the eye of the major leagues, but the MLB decided not to fine the Mets for wearing the custom cleats without permission. Now, Alonso will be donating a pair of the custom cleats to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in Manhattan. Anthony DiComo reported the news on Thursday.
