New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso has had a season for the ages. He’s rewritten record books all season. His 53 home runs are a team record by 12 blasts and he bested New York Yankees stud Aaron Judge‘s old rookie record by one.
Alonso has the third most single-season RBI in team history (120). He is the fourth Met to lead the National League in home runs and the first since Howard Johnson in 1991. He’s the first Met to lead the MLB in home runs ever.
