Networks have turned prime-time TV into a horror show

Don’t bother checking the fuse box; these are the Dark Ages.

Late Saturday afternoon then well into Saturday night, FS1, FOX’s sports cable network, presented two cherry-picked MLB games: the first-place Giants at the top-TV-market Yankees, followed by the first-place Rangers at the defending champion Royals.

But why on cable? Why wasn’t one or both on FOX as the Saturday Game or Games of the Week?

Answer: Priorities. FOX had a card of kicks, elbows and hammer-’em-when-they’re-down UFC cage-fighting — street-fighting, nowhere for the bloodied and brutalized to run — plugged into prime time. Come and get it!
