UPDATE, June 15:
Walker texted manager Terry Collins Wednesday morning and let him know he’d be unable to play, according to Laura Albanese of Newsday.
During his pregame press conference, Collins said the medical staff had been contacted and that Walker was currently getting an MRI.
Collins added the hope is Walker will return by Friday.
June 12:
Walker, who left Saturday’s game due to tightness in his lower back, visited with a chiropractor on Sunday and will see Mets team doctors on Monday.
However, he’s hopeful of returning to the starting lineup on Tuesday when the Mets open their homestand.
