If the Yankees can’t land Jacob deGrom, Noah Syndergaard would be just fine in pinstripes, too, according to Neil Walker.
Days after endorsing deGrom to the Yankees, Walker — their ex-Mets teammate and current Yankees infielder — said Syndergaard would play well in The Bronx as well.
“If he were to be an addition to our team, it would be well-received,” Walker told NJ.com Tuesday.
While it would be something of a stunner to see the two teams come together to make such a big trade, the Mets are willing to listen to offers for their ace deGrom, according to The Post’s Mike Puma.
