The New York Mets were able to exhale after receiving good news about new infielder Jed Lowrie. After traveling to New York for an MRI, results came back negative on the newly signed infielder’s left knee, reports Mike Puma.
Manager Mickey Callaway isn’t rushing Lowrie back, as he feels Lowrie only needs 40 at-bats during spring training to be ready for the season, according to Anthony DiComo.
Last season, Lowrie hit for a .267 average with 23 home runs, recording an on-base percentage of .353 and was a first time All-Star.
