Morning Briefing: Two-thirds through road trip, Mets get day off

PHILADELPHIA -- You can’t win them all.

After dropping the series finale in Philadelphia to fall short of a sweep, the New York Mets headed to the airport for a late-night flight to Atlanta. After a day off, they resume play on Friday at Turner Field.

Matt Harvey, Steven Matz and Jacob deGrom will handle the weekend pitching.

Harvey tries to rebound after opening the season 0-3 with a 5.71 ERA.

Terry Collins said Harvey’s between-starts bullpen session went very well.

“He was very confident. He thought it was the best bullpen he’s had in a long time,” Collins said.
