Morning Briefing: Mets' roll continues upon return to Citi Field

NEW YORK -- The New York Mets are on a roll.

The Amazin’s have won nine of their last 11 games and now own an 11-7 record.

Bartolo Colon (1-1, 2.89 ERA) looks to keep the momentum going when he opposes Cincinnati Reds left-hander Brandon Finnegan (1-1, 3.74) on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. ET at Citi Field.

Finnegan will be only the second left-handed starter the Mets have faced this season. Normally, that would mean Michael Conforto headed to the bench. But with Yoenis Cespedes nursing a bruise on his upper right leg and Conforto’s sizzling performances at the plate, Tuesday’s game could mark Conforto’s first start against a southpaw since his major league debut.
