PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- It’s officially reporting day for New York Mets pitchers and catchers. That simply means players must alert the team that they have arrived in Port St. Lucie.
The pitchers and catchers have physicals scheduled for Thursday.
Friday is the first official workout.

ESPN’s Keith Law reveals his top-10 list of Mets prospects. First baseman Dominic Smith is the top prospect, followed by left-hander Steven Matz at No. 2, then shortstops Amed Rosario and Gavin Cecchini, outfielders Wuilmer Becerra, Brandon Nimmo and Desmond Lindsay, right-hander Robert Gsellman, third baseman Jhoan Urena and shortstop Luis Carpio.
