PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Matt Harvey makes his first Grapefruit League appearance since being named Opening Day starter as the New York Mets visit Viera for a 1:05 p.m. ET game against the Washington Nationals on Saturday (WOR). Harvey will oppose right-hander Joe Ross.
The Nationals improved to 12-3-2 in Grapefruit League play with a win against the Mets at Tradition Field on Friday night. The Mets dropped to 7-7-2.
Harvey has a 1.77 ERA in 10 career regular-season starts against Washington.
